Are you a healthcare or allied health professional who wants to make an impact on a national scale by providing high-quality clinical and technical expertise to support its participants?
I am currently partnering with a prominent Federal Government client in the disability sector with an exciting and specialised role of APS6 Technical Advisory Coordinator. This is a critical role within the Technical Advisory Branch of the Operations and Support Division, which ensures that complex and novel cases receive nuanced, sensitive, and high-quality advice aligned with legislation and policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing subject matter expertise using a coaching and mentoring approach to advise on appropriate participant supports required while maintaining high-quality written and telephone records of advice provided.
- Liaising with stakeholders, delegates, and providers to ensure consistent decision-making and outcome achievement/recommendations.
- Managing sensitive and sometimes complex conversations and situations associated with the approval of funding while managing multiple tasks, prioritising effectively, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Performing research and analysis to make decisions involving complex or escalated issues.
- Conducting risk management activities and monitoring emerging issues within your sphere of responsibility.
Ideally you will Possess:
- Required Qualifications: A degree or diploma in a related field OT, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or other relevant Allied Health fields. (AHPRA registration is essential.
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated clinical experience and the ability to provide high-quality health/allied health technical expertise at both individual and systemic levels.
- Sector Experience: Proven experience within the disability, hospital, or aged care sectors.
- Leadership Skills: Experience providing professional leadership, mentoring, and guidance to employees to ensure consistency in advisory practices.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adapt to changing priorities under pressure.
